Already, the scheme has produced some of our most outstanding leaders - the current Chief Executive Officer, David Nicholson, is an alumni of the NHS Management Training Scheme.
We have been shortlisted along with Unilever, Boots and Procter & Gamble as the four finalists for the Best Large Employer of the Year awarded by CIMA. Recently we've seen many of our graduates achieve outstanding results at the CIMA Strategic, Managerial, and Certificate level papers:
- Jonathan Smith (East Midlands - 2007 intake), came 2nd in the world at P5 Integrated Management.
- Sunil Thakar (South Central - 2006 Intake), came 6th in the world at P6 Business Strategy.
- Kirsty-Jo Williams (South Central - 2007 Intake), came joint 8th in the world at P1 Management Accounting Performance Evaluation.
- Caroline Owusu-Bennoah (London South - 2007 Intake), came joint 8th in the world at P5 Integrated Management.
- Both Jonathan and Sunil each won the CIMA NHS Student Excellence Award, which is a fantastic recognition.
And as you'd expect from an organisation that leads the way, our Graduate Management Training Scheme does too, consistently scoring very highly and making us one of the top Graduate recruiters:
- 6th in The Times 'Top 100 Graduate Employers' in 2009. We have been in the Times Top 100 list every year since 2001.
- 2009 Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR): Graduate Selection & Assessment Award. This is awarded in recognition of the rigour and fairness of the recruitment process.
- 2009 Times Top 100: Graduate Employers of Choice Award for HR.
- 2007 Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR): Best of the Best (and Graduate Selection and Assessment Award).
- 2009 GTI Online Recruitment Student User Survey: we ranked as one of the leading online application systems, as voted for by students.
