Preparing the leaders of tomorrow

Challenging work placements, foundation learning, specialism competencies, multi-disciplinary action-learning sets, experiential learning, mentoring relationship and a talent management performance monitoring system - our comprehensive programme aims to provide graduates with everything they need to become future leaders with the NHS.

We look to develop new managers and give them the skills and confidence they need to lead transformation, whilst also maintaining the delicate balance of equitable access and affordability. It's about providing graduates with the opportunity to demonstrate their talents, whilst also offering them the right tools, training and support they need to get the best start to their career. What's more, we see they're equipped and properly prepared to then progress in their career and make their mark with us.

And just as the NHS continues to evolve, innovate and change to stay abreast of changing health needs, so too does our Graduate Scheme.

The Graduate Scheme consists of four specialisms:

  • Finance Management
  • General Management
  • Human Resources Management
  • Informatics Management

The outstanding results achieved by the NHS graduates highlight the Graduate Scheme's high-quality learning, and recognises their ability and commitment.

Our Graduate Scheme is open to both current NHS staff and those considering joining us. Whatever your background, you must share our commitment to creating a world-class healthcare service.
