Permission to work in the UK and Leave to Remain in the UK (Work Permits)
Tier 1 (Post-Study Work)
We have been advised by the Borders Agency that the Tier 1 (Post-Study Work) route is being abolished in April 2012 and to date the Agency has not released any further details on what, if anything will replace it.
Tier 2 - Sponsorship to Work in the UK
Those who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome to apply and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the Graduate Schemes is unlikely in these circumstance, to satisfy the Resident Labour market Test.
As the situation with regards to permission to work and Leave to Remain in the UK is currently under review, the Schemes would advise you to contact the UK Council for International Student Affairs, www.ukcisa.org.uk for up to the minute information. Alternatively you may wish to visit the UK Border Agency website.
